MY BOOKS

Dawn of Rebellion

My name is Dawn Nolan, and I've grown up on the streets of military-controlled London. The one person in my life I could always count on has been taken from me.

Gabby is combative, pushy, a real pain - but she's the reason I've survived this long.

She's my sister.

And now she's gone.

Criminals are sent to the colonies to work as slaves for the rest of their lives. There is no escape. I only know that it's a savage place; not a place from a teenage girl from the wrong side of London.

I might die trying.

I'll probably never see London again.

But they've taken my sister and I'm going to get her back.

Day of Reckoning

Safety is an illusion.

We’re back to where we started – two sisters living under a government we can’t trust. The rest of our friends are either dead or missing.

Texas should be our haven; our escape from the British. But what if we’ve traded one prison for another?

There are larger things at work, more allies and enemies to be found. They all look the same to us. The Texans want us to fall in line. The rebels want us to fight. The Americans want us to leave them alone.

The colonies are a more dangerous place than we ever could have imagined and we’re caught in the middle. Not all of us are meant to be soldiers, but the time for indecision has passed.  What do you call someone who doesn’t trust the fight? A liability.

Sides must be chosen … bonds must be broken … Alliances forged.

And the war begins.

Eve of Tomorrow

They took my childhood. They took my country. But when then they tried to take my sister, they didn’t realize it would lead to their downfall, not ours.

You grow up fast when you’re called upon to lead a rebellion. You learn who to trust, sometimes the hard way. You become hard because you have no other choice.

Whatever it takes. That’s what it’s come down to, but it didn’t start out this way.

It started with two London girls and a birthday present. They’ve given us no options, left us no safe path to tread. They’ve imprisoned us. They’ve shot at us. We’ve had to watch our friends die. But it ends here. Now.

We’re no longer alone, no longer scared. One fight is over, but another has just begun. Not all of us will make it, but there’s a weapon that is more dangerous than anything we’ve ever seen. We have our mission. Stop them from destroying everything we have and come back to help build everything we could hope for; a new world.

This wasn’t the life anybody imagined and we’re going to do something about it.

Choices: a New Beginnings novel

Everyone makes lots of little decisions from the moment they wake up until they sink back into sleep at night. Decisions that have no consequences or expectations. But, what about the rare choices that could change everything? How do you know what is right for you?

Happiness is something you have to choose again and again, each day.

Michaela Matthews wants that more than anything. Standing in her way is a family pushing her down a specific path and the man she loves preventing her from choosing anything different. When she moves to the city for the next step in her parent’s plan, she starts to figure out what she wants - or more importantly, what she doesn’t want. She thinks she has to leave her old life behind to discover a new one. This throws every choice she has made into question. It isn’t until tragedy strikes that she learns that sometimes there is no choice at all. Sometimes you can have it all.

Jason Marks has had the kind of life where things have seemed to just happen to him, no choice involved at all. It’s a struggle for him to keep the past at bay while he tries to move forward. He is no longer the unwanted foster kid. He is a business owner, surrounded by people that love him. But, he isn’t in love. He’s not even sure he believes in it. Not anymore. At least, not until a heartbroken girl falls apart in his arms. It’s enough to make him a believer. Make him a dreamer. Enough to force him to answer that question. Do you give all of yourself to someone who might not choose you in return?

Yes. Yes, you do.

Promises: a New Beginnings novel

Do you promise you’ll always be here for me?

It was a game they played, only it wasn’t a game. Maggie Marks held on to Elijah’s childhood promises as a way of escaping a life that was far from perfect. Elijah Lugo was her neighbor, her best friend, her family. He was everything her parents refused to be, everything she needed. He was her first kiss and a witness to more of her father’s drunken rants than she could count. He was there at her wedding and then held her when it all fell apart. Elijah was in love with her, but she was afraid loving him would eventually mean losing him too.

They were no longer kids, pretending everything would work out in the end.
When Maggie’s father reenters her life in an unexpected way, revealing long held secrets, her world is turned upside down and she will need Elijah more than ever.

A story of friendship and family. The promises you make and the ones you keep.

We Thought We Were Invincible

California “Callie” McCoy feels most alive when her feet are planted firmly on her surfboard on a big swell. And one day, she dreams of riding that wave out of her small town. Away from everyone.

Her plan is simple: graduate high school. With Callie's best friend gone away to college, she plans on spending her senior year skating by. She isn’t looking for friends, and especially not for love - all she needs are her waves and her twin brother. Even if he comes with an annoying best friend, Jamie Daniels, who she can’t stand.

Jamie is a care-free, easy-going surfer who has everything. On the surface, his life appears perfect, but reality is far from it. He has his share of secrets, including one that burns deeper than any other. It’s a good thing Callie hates him because if she didn’t, Jamie knows there’s no way he’d be able to stay away.

And then, one night, everything changes. And nothing will ever be the same.

We Thought We Knew It All

Much can happen in ten years. People change. Life occurs; death ensues. Secrets are kept; truth prevails.

A decade has passed since Callie and Jamie exchanged goodbyes. At the time, they didn’t realize it might be their final exchange, and they’d disappear from each other’s lives. But that’s exactly what happened. Now, Callie finds herself at a crossroads. Caught between her current life and the longing for her past, she must decide what is best for her.

Jamie has worked hard to make something of himself — to prove his father wrong. Life as an Army Ranger isn’t easy, but it’s who he is down to his core. When everything starts to crumble, he receives news from home that makes him think about his life. Earlier, he vowed never to set foot in Gulf City again. Now, there's no reason he can’t go home.

Except there is... And her name is California McCoy.
